As I (Shaunti) have been traveling and speaking, I have beenseeing that equipping women to control their perceptions in the pipeline could be -in the words of one corporate leader- ‘the missing link’ in solving that stubborn problem of why -- despite all the great corporate efforts -- the percentage of women gets thinner and thinner at the higher levels of the company.  All the big picture efforts to change the culture of the organization are excellent and should continue: but it is vital to also equip the individual women with information about the keys to managing how they are perceived so they can take charge of their OWN perception (rather than having that perception created by men!), be effective in the ‘foreign culture of men,’ and remove some obstacles they may not have known were there.  What do you think about the "Incredible shrinkage of women" as they move up the corporate ladder?
